Interesting. I’m not sure whether I agree. It’s absolutely unreasonable to expect every character in a film to be a round and dynamic character. We can complain about this one, but there exist plenty of tropes that portray men in a less-than-realistic light. Maybe we should just accept that every film will have some flat characters - whether they be male or female, black or white - and just move on.
